Cupcake Cones

I'm so excited to post about these treats my sister made the other day! I have been so busy and haven't had a chance to do any fun projects lately but lucky for me I have another half who is just as creative and fun as I am and just so happens to do projects in her spare time. She found the "cupcake in a cone" idea online and with the super cute baking tags I got her for Christmas, she worked her magic.


So first you bake a cupcake inside of a cone...it's really easy just pour the batter in and bake!

 Then decorate them to your liking :)

And make sure to adorn with cute tags! These tags (from the container store) came with little plastic bags and ribbons....really cute.

Daisy Rose Flowers

I am always influenced by uniqueness and originality.

Yesterday I went to a bridal fair at the Ritz Carlton in San Fran and was introduced to Daisy Rose Flowers, http://daisyroseflowers.com/

As you can see in the pictures I took of their florals below, adding different textures and patterns is what makes these bouquets so special.

Keeping up with the ChrismaKah!

I understand the importance of keeping yourself organized, calm and collected during the Holiday Season. Never before this year had I understood that so well. Since I've been offically been working in the event planning industry, I've learned that despite the idea of the Holidays being the most happiest time of the year, if you're not prepared and ready to bring your A game....you'll turn into a Scrooge.


Here are some tips to keep yourself organized/SANE during this special time of year ;) 


1.) Get your Christmas gifts done early-
Whether that is your husband's perfect and well thought out set of golf clubs/remote control helicopter or those little baked goods that you hand out to friends every year  (superbly wrapped with all the cutest tinsel and bows the Container Store can buy)....at least start thinking about what you'll be doing for all those special people in your life so you're not stressing right before Christmas and trying to fight the crowds at Nordys.


2.) Print out a LARGE calendar of the month and put it above your work space. Color code your important work events/due dates in red, your fun and personal events in blue, and your family special Holiday events in green. 


3.) Everyone knows that the Holidays bring good food and a comfy living style.....but you gotta make sure you're getting your butt to the gym or at least some type of exercise! It can be going for a walk with your kids or even a friend to catch up. But be sure to do something! It will keep your on your toes, your brain sharp, and it'll be that much easier to get out of bed in the morning.


4.) Create a routine-
To keep yourself organized throughout November/December, remember what you have to get done and stay focused on it. It's easy to lose track when there are so many things to do but whether its your Siri reminding you to do something (20 times a day), your Google Calendar, or just a simple pen to paper list. I suggest to write down the 8 most important things you have to do that day and get those things done in a system that works for you.

I know its tough but imagine how GREAT and accomplished you will feel in January knowing you gave it your all at staying on top of things. And I promise it gets easier the more effort you put into it!!

Glitter + Champagne = Happy Girls

This is my DIY for the weekend. Wish I had time to do it for my friend's birthday tonight...would have been the perfect gift to share with the girls!

The glitter that's used here is Martha Stewart Glitter Glue in an assortment of colors and applied with a circular foam.

Wine and Decor

Using wine and wine bottles is a cost efficient yet elegant and classy way to decorate for all types of events. Whether its a wine tasting party, a bridal shower or a wedding, they take your guests into a wine country/vineyard feel that everyone loves. You don't even have to have primarily wine drinkers but the bottles/glasses/corks alone just give that super sophisticated yet fun feel at the same time. 

Organization!

Considering I die and go to heaven just in the folder/file/paper & pens aisle of Target...these pictures have me falling over in happiness. I LOVE organization!!!
