Mason Jars

In my family my mom and dad always saved mason jars. Using them for anything from my mom saving pesto  or curry to my dad using them as his all time favorite cup for a big glass of gatorade in the Summertime. However, mason jars are more than just functional. They are adorable. Don't believe me? Look at some of these fun and creative ways that mason jars are used in all ways from country to vintage to shabby chic.

Unbelievably Cute Cupcake Liners

In the past two days I have made roughly 300 cupcakes. 100 to sell at my girlfriend's middle school band concert and another 200 are to sell at Cal Poly for an event on campus! Even though it took awhile, I kept going every time I took some out of the oven considering how adorable each one looked!
I found some ridiculously cute cupcake liners the other day and I just had to buy them all. Check them out...

Yay!

Internship Update and Irish/Polish/Spanish Event

As my internship with The Party Goddess progresses, I have learned SO MUCH. It is unbelievable how much I have taken away from this experience and I am super excited about that.
From learning to create amazing creative centerpieces, getting products ready, calling vendors, speaking with clients, researching for the weekly Ezine and event ideas, and even helping our accountant with getting things in order, I can truly say that every Friday I feel more and more confident with with my future plans as an Event Planner.
I wanted to share some of the amazing centerpieces that were whipped up this past Friday at The Party Goddess for a super cool Irish/Polish/Spanish event that happened on Saturday.
For the event we contacted food trucks of all sorts, a traveling gelato company, stilt walkers for entertainment, balloon sculptures and event rentals for props.

These green centerpieces were all for the Polish theme. The florists used food such as cauliflower and potatoes to help make a super creative look!

Then for the Spanish theme they used a red color palette and incorporated oranges and pasta!!

My favoritist store for interiors ever

You know when you're a kid and you go shopping with your mom and you're forced to shop for boring things all day? That used to happen to me at Home Depot, paint stores, or even Safeway. However, there was one store that even though it would have probably bored some kids,  ever since I was LITTLE I never minded being dragged in there by my mom.
This store was Z Gallerie. I absolutely LOVE this store. It is trendy but always classy. It has a bunch of different themes so you can pick and choose what you like not like some stores where you have an overall feel (Pottery Barn/ Crate and Barrel?)

Some people like to match and mix the styles of different rooms in their home and considering I love interior design of all sorts, I think that is way I like Z Gallerie so much.
There used to be one at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek and thats where I went when I was little. But that one is no longer there so for the past couple years I've just been to the one at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica.

Its week 8....almost done

It's crazy to think that my college days are almost over. I'm starting to recognize all the things that I have to leave behind, but at the same time see all of the opportunities that lie ahead of me. It is nice to know that some things will never change. There are some things in the life of Ashley Bloom that will always be.
